ROCKY MOUNTAIN FICTION WRITERS 'WRITER OF THE YEAR' PANEL: ABOUT WRITING AND PUBLISHING |

 Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers (RMFW) will present their annual 'Writer of the Year' Panel with authors Jeanne Stein, Mario Acevedo, Carol Berg and Robin D. Owens. The panelists will share their insights on how-to-get published, reveal tips on honing your craft, and illuminate questions that surround the world of publishing. This event is free and open to the public.
Jeanne Stein is RMFW's 2008 WRITER OF THE YEAR. Her first novel, THE BECOMING, was a Barnes & Noble national best seller for December 2006 as well as a local best seller in Denver and San Diego. Her fouth Anna Strong novel is due out in September 2008.
Mario Acevedo is an RMFW 2008 WRITER OF THE YEAR nominee. He is the author of the Felix Gomez vampire-detective series published by HarperCollins. He attributes his writing success to the support and advice provided by RMFW.
Carol Berg ,RMFW 2006 WRITER OF THE YEAR, is the best-selling author of epic fantasy novels. One of her genre fiction novels, SONG OF THE BEAST, won the Colorado Book Award. In 2005, her book TRANSFORMATION, won the Geffen Award Best Fantasy in Translation.
Robin D. Owens, the 2004 WRITER OF THE YEAR, will serve as moderator. Her fantasy/futuristic romances found a home at Berkley with the issuance of HEARTMATE in December 2001 and she won the prestigious RITA award for it. Since then she has written six more books in the series.
DOOR PRIZES will be drawn during the evening event, including: books by the authors, breakfast and/or lunch with an Editor or Agent at the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Colorado Gold Conference in September, and a FREE Gold Conference Registration. |

 25TH YEAR CELEBRATION
Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers hosts an anual conference for all writers featuring actively acquiring agents and editors whom you can meet and pitch your projects to, guest speakers to encourage and inspire attendees, and workshops on every topic under the sun related to the art of writing and the business of selling commercial novel-length fiction.
This year the Colorado Gold will be held September 12, 13, and 14.
Registration this year is $239.00.
Be sure to register before the EXTENDED August 15 deadline, because after that registration fees go up to $269.00.
