THE 2011 JASMINE AWARD: Mario Acevedo

Mario Acevedo has been RMFW president, programs chair, and Writer of the Year; he has served on many RMFW and RMFW-PAL committees, always judges the annual contest for unpublished writers, and served on the selection jury for the 3rd anthology. His biggest contribution to RMFW, though, has been his unflagging support of newly-published members and also in getting the organization's profile more attention, through organizing and manning a booth at the annual Mountain and Plains Independent Booksellers' Association trade fair. Mario exemplifies service and dedication, and his Jasmine represents RMFW's gratitude.

The 2010 JASMINE AWARD:  Robin D. Owens

Robin Owens never stops giving back to RMFW.  She has held nearly every
office the organization has, including some that no longer exist, like
Librarian.  Even since becoming an award-winning writer with nearly
twenty published books to her name, Robin volunteers in every capacity
she can.  For many years, she was the Published Authors' Liaison,
organizing the Writer of the Year event (and guaranteeing she herself
was therefore ineligible).  She maintains the Yahoo! chat groups, judges
contest, and helps with any task she can.  Her Jasmine Award is richly
deserved.
